TiVo makes less money from DirecTV subscribers than they do off of customers who buy standalone TiVo boxes and either sign up for a lifetime subscription or pay a $12.95 monthly fee. Given the current unraveling of their relationship with DirecTV (their partnership expires in 2007 and DirecTV is rolling out their own DVR to compete with DirecTiVo), even with today’s good news TiVo isn’t out of the woods yet;
